Duties

Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or online) faculty hired to teach on a temporary basis.

Current need instructors to teach day and evening classes at the Lebanon and Lancaster campuses.

Classification DescriptionList the broad major functions of the position.

Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned academic department. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive subject matter expertise and relevant work experience in medical coding and insurance billing.

Must be certified in medical coding through the AAPC or AHIMA

Strong knowledge of government insurances.

Dynamic instructor or speaker.

Proficiency in technology in an instructional environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the community college mission.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

Qualifications: Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree and/or significant adult education experience.

Advanced professional credentials.

Extensive subject matter expertise and relevant work experience in medical insurance billing in both areas of physician and hospital billing.

College-level teaching experience.

Willingness and ability to teach distance learning, especially on line classes.
