Duties

Adjunct faculty are part-time faculty hired to teach on a semester basis. Develop and deliver Workforce course offerings specific to the S.T.E.P Academy in the classroom.

The S.T.E.P. Academy assists student in learning job readiness skills while assisting them in identifying job options and training pathways. S.T.E.P adjunct faculty will provide classroom based instruction and student support for assigned classes. Perform tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction. The S.T.E.P. adjunct faculty will work with the S.T.E.P. staff to foster a strong and mutually rewarding learning environment for program participants by facilitation and instruction of assigned course material. Responsible for providing face to face training to S.T.E.P Academy participants on an as needed basis. Must be available during typical business hours M-F 8-5am as well as the possibility of some evenings and/or weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

PA Act 15 Clearances

As a requirement for this position, you are expected to provide current copies of the following: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Check prior to your first day of employment. These must have been obtained within the last 60 months and for the purpose of employment (not volunteer). You may submit current copies of your clearances to the Office of Human Resources at the time an offer of employment is made.
