Performs routine custodial and cleaning duties along with minor building maintenance and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Job Specific Task List

1. Performs routine facilities duties to include cleaning and sanitizing multiple areas/surfaces, toilet cleaning, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing or waxing floors, washing windows, emptying trash and recycling bins.

2. Operates and maintains equipment needed to perform duties.

3. Performs cyclical facilities duties to include extensive cleaning of classrooms and bathrooms, stripping and waxing floors and other duties as needed.

4. Assist with yard work and snow removal.

5. Prepares rooms for meetings and events as requested.

6. Submits work orders routinely for repairs & maintenance they can not perform.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, and extreme temperatures.
