To assist vice president of student affairs with daily tasks, events, data management and projects.

Operates a computer to schedule, place orders and prepare documents, reports, checklists, forms, and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree and three years of related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

Job Specific Task List

1. Provide support for vice-president of student affairs – arrange meetings, handle correspondence, and perform various tasks; including providing transfer verification, security checks, discipline investigations and assisting in maintaining discipline records.
2. Assist with coordinating activities, including meetings and college-wide events.
3. Assist with the preparation of various reports utilizing software, including ARGOS and Microsoft Excel.
4. Provide administrative support to central office student affairs managers, such as coordinating meetings and agendas, editing agendas, letters, publications, and basic reports, overseeing supply and inventory orders, researching basic information, and providing related support.
5. Develop and prepare appropriate documents and forms to assist with maintenance requests, purchase requests, employee travel, reimbursement, and employee training.
6. Provide complex, specialized administrative support in preparing confidential documents, Argos reports, meeting agendas and minutes, student documentation, and departmental data.
7. Provide customer service and assistance to students, parents, employees, and the community.
8. Manage and maintain administrative budget for assigned areas; ensures expenditures and revenue reports are correct.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Preferred Experience

- Experience with utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning systems, preferably Banner, for budget tracking, creation and tracking of purchase requisitions, personnel authorization, and other necessary functions.

- Experience working in a complex, fast paced operation involving multiple and diverse functions and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
