Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or on-line) faculty hired to teach on a semester basis.

Currently seeking instructors to teach WEB 138 – Vector Imaging and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) at the Harrisburg campus. This course introduces the creation and editing of Web vector graphics and page layouts using Adobe Illustrator software. It focuses on digital drawing tools, manipulating points and curves, layer management, text-on-curve, filters, special effects, Web file formats, vector-raster conversions, and exporting to animation programs. Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) are also featured in this course as an industry-standard format capable of adapting to responsive Web sites.

Provides academic instruction and student academic support for assigned classes. Performs tasks designed to ensure the quality and consistency of academic instruction.

Adjunct faculty must develop instructional methods for their assigned course(s). The instructional methods must pertain to the course(s) learning outcomes and course catalog description.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Interatctive Media, Graphic Design, Web Design or related discipline.

Three years of classroom teaching experience at the high school or college level.

Advanced to expert experience with Adobe Illustrator CC and Scalable Vector Graphics.

Qualifications: Preferred Experience

Master’s Degree in Interactive Media, Graphic Design, Web Design or related discipline.

PA Act 15 Clearances

As a requirement for this position, you are expected to provide current copies of the following: DHS Child Abuse History Certificate, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Information, and FBI Federal Criminal History Background Check prior to your first day of employment. These must have been obtained within the last 60 months and for the purpose of employment (not volunteer). You may submit current copies of your clearances to the Office of Human Resources at the time an offer of employment is made.
